SemDems has suspended our face-to-face canvassing until it is safe to do so. This has challenged us to find a safe, simple, and secure way to continue registering Democrats in Seminole County.
SemDems volunteers have found that phone banking is easy and effective. Even just thirty minutes out of your day can make the difference between victory or defeat this November.
You’re Calling from Home, but You Are Not Alone!
We know that calling voters (or phone banking) can seem intimidating at first. However, you will be calling a list of registered Democrats – people who are usually friendly and like-minded. You’ll be calling Democrats to remind them to request their Vote By Mail ballot for the upcoming election.

FAQs
I don’t want strangers knowing my phone number.
There are several options if you prefer to make anonymous or “No Caller ID” calls:
- Use the Google Voice app with your PC or Mac (requires Wi-Fi). You don’t even need a phone.
- Disable your Caller ID through Settings on your iPhone or Android phone.
- Dial *67 before each call (also works on landlines).
Do I leave a voice mail or voice message if no one answers?
The Virtual Phone Bank script will tell you if you should leave a message or not.
When is the best time to reach people?
The phone banks are available 9:00 am until 8 :00 pm. You will not be able to log in during other times.
