SemDems selects a community group to support each month. Celebrating Black History Month, this months community groups are Glorious Hands and NAACP Seminole County Youth Works.
Glorious Hands - Girls Mentoring Academy has been empowering girls ages 10-19 because we recognize that this is a very influential part of a girl’s life. We believe in leading by example with a huge focus on academics and graduating. We realize the importance of having consistent positive mentors in the lives of our girls, and Glorious Hands Inc. is here to help! Learn more about this organization at GloriusHandsInc.org.
NAACP Seminole County Youth Works - Youth Works involves young people in education of black history and in community service projects such as visiting senior citizens and supporting the community. The anticipate going to Washington DC in the future to learn more about history.
