Over the past couple of years, I’ve been educating myself regarding politics. What I had not been aware of until this last election was the impact of local and state elections on the efficacy of the federal government. In addition, I had little idea of how dangerous, hypocritical, and unconstitutional so many of the Republican policies are.
When I came across the book Un-Trumping America: A Plan to Make America a Democracy Again, I was amazed by how much I didn’t know (despite the fact that I probably know much more than the average citizen). The book taught me the ways in which the Republicans are having an impact on our government, why its so important for me, as a Democrat, to get involved, and the many ways that I can get involved at the local, state, and national level. (A caveat, though – there is some language in the book.)
I am encouraging my fellow SemDems to read this book for the sole reason that it has motivated me to take action against this corrupt and dangerous administration in a practical and feasible way.
It has taught me:
— How Republicans Trumped America
—WHY it is so important for all Democrats to get involved
—Ways to Un-Trump America
—Ways to make America a democracy again
Trump is becoming more and more dangerous and is destroying this nation.
We’ve got to unseat him and his sycophants before the nation passes the point of no return.
