Daniel Siciliano

Daniel Siciliano, our October 2019 Activist of the Month is the youngest person we have honored as an Activist, to date. He was born in El Salvador and lived in Atlanta for three years. Then the family moved to Peachtree City for a year until the ’08 crash forced them to move to Oviedo, Florida. And, he has I’ve lived there ever since. He has two brothers, one older and one younger. His father is a pastor and his mother is an accountant.

Daniel is currently enrolled at UCF pursuing dual majors in Political Science and Finance. He is planning to graduate in the next year. He is a member of and Treasurer for the SemDems’ Young Dems group. He originally became involved in political action in the Fall of 2017 by canvassing for Anna Eskamani’s Florida House campaign. Then Lee Mangold spoke to the college Democrats group and he transitioned his focus into Seminole county. He says, “I joined SemDems in the summer of 2018 as a way to get more involved in politics, as well as to further integrate Lee’s campaign with SemDems.

Daniel is active in supporting Lee Mangold’s 2020 campaign. He leverages his prowess with numbers to look at the data and strategize about what would be the most effective use of targeting and resources. He also organizes canvassing events, when needed. Regarding the SemDems, he likes talking to the various people that come and go since their experiences are so broad and varied and yet somehow, he says “we have all made it to the same group.”

Congratulations to Daniel for this honor and we so appreciate all his efforts to keep Seminole County Blue!
