About Delegates:
DNC Delegates are elected by Democrats from their communities. Once elected, these Delegates will gather to officially nominate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the Democratic Candidate for President and Vice President. Each state is awarded delegates by population, and FL-7 (also known as Congressional District 7 or CD-7). CD-7 will receive 5 votes in 2024 - with a split of 2 male and 3 female Delegates.
District-Level Delegates must run in their Congressional District to be elected. Only registered Democrats can vote in Congressional District Caucuses on April 20th.
What Does a Delegate Do?
Other than voting to nominate the President, Delegates will also vote on the official Democratic Platform (positions on issues), resolutions, and rules, so it is essential that voters send Delegates to Chicago that hold their values. We encourage all Democrats to come out and vote for individuals they align with. We will share the list of candidates once it is made available.
Voting for our official Delegates will take place on Saturday, April 20th from 10 AM to 2 PM - so mark your calendars or RSVP here for a reminder.
