Last November, Seminole County Residents voted overwhelmingly to protect our rural boundaries, with 82% of our residents choosing to increase these protections. But that isn’t stopping greedy developers and special interests from lobbying our state legislature in Tallahassee to override the will of our voters.

State House Bill 1209 and Senate Bill 1118 have been filed to preempt Seminole County’s ability to enforce the rural boundaries we voted to maintain. This will open our county up to even further overdevelopment and sprawl, paving over the natural beauty of our rural areas.

It takes a lot of nerve for a state congressional representative to dishonor the will of their constituents. And for what? To inflate the incomes of a handful of rich developers?

Call your State Representatives today! Let them know you do not support these bills, and remind them about what we clearly voted in favor of in November.
