As we enter the election season, one thing is clear: every vote matters!

And every volunteer who helps make voting a smoother, more informed process is very important, too. Volunteering to hand out Voting Guides at Early Voting locations is one of the most impactful ways to support our community and help voters feel confident as they head to the polls.

Let's get the Blue Wave started by volunteering to help hand out Voter Guides at Early Voting sites!

Why Your Role is So Important

When voters arrive at Early Voting sites, they often come with questions: Who's on the ballot? What are the key issues? What do I need to know before I cast my vote?

Having a Democratic Voting Guide helps answer these questions and makes sure that people feel prepared and empowered to make their choices.

Seminole County has several non-partisan races, but our Democratic Party has recommendations for candidates we support. There are also six Constitutional amendments on the ballot. By offering these guides to voters, you're directly contributing to a more informed electorate, something that's critical to the democratic process.

And spreading the word about our candidates is crucial in supporting Kamala Harris for office and turning Seminole blue!

You Don't Have to Convince, Just Assist

One of the biggest concerns we hear from potential volunteers is the worry that they'll have to convince people to vote for a certain candidate. But that's not what this role is about. You won't be campaigning—you'll be there to hand out guides, offer a friendly hello, and help people find the information they need.

Your job is to provide a resource rather than to persuade. And that's what makes this role so unique. You get to contribute to the election process in a positive, neutral way, ensuring that everyone has the information they need to make their own decision.

Worried About Volunteering? We've Got You Covered!

We understand that volunteering might feel a little intimidating, but rest assured, we'll provide everything you need to succeed in this role. Here are some common concerns and how we address them:

"I don't know enough to volunteer."

Don't worry! We provide a guide that gives you all the information you need. From understanding the guides to knowing how to approach voters politely, we'll make sure you feel confident before you start.

    "I don't have the time."

We know everyone has busy schedules, so we offer flexible shifts. Whether you can give just a few hours or a few days, any amount of time you can contribute makes a big difference.

"What if I don't feel safe?"

Early Voting locations are generally calm, monitored environments. You'll be in a public area, often with other volunteers, as voters come and go. Plus, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Democracy Needs You: How Your Involvement Makes a Difference

Volunteers are the heartbeat of the democratic process. And as you hand out Voter Guides, you're handing out knowledge, confidence, and empowerment. Imagine the voter needing help determining which candidate supports their values or the person overwhelmed by the choices. Your friendly face and helpful guide might be the very thing they need to feel ready to cast their vote.

Whether it's a first-time voter or someone who has been voting for decades, having you there shows that the community is invested in making sure every person can participate in the process fairly and with confidence.

The best part? Signing up is easy; you'll be fully trained and supported in this role. We have room for more volunteers at every Early Voting site in Seminole County. All we need is a few hours of your time and a willingness to help.

Plus, you don't have to do it alone—bring a friend and make it a rewarding experience together!

Let's make this election season smoother and more informed for everyone. Because when we work together, WE WIN!
