Every 4 years each Democratic Executive Committee (Democratic County Party) hosts elections for leadership positions after Election Day. The official legal name of the SemDems is Seminole County Democratic Executive Committee (also known as the Seminole County Democratic Party).
The next SemDems Reorganization Meeting will take place on Thursday, December 5th at 7 PM at the Eastmonte Civic Center. This event will be lieu of a regular Monthly Meeting. All registered Precinct Captains and those interested in a leadership position are encouraged to attend. Must be a registered Democrat to attend this special event.

ELECTION INFORMATION
Per the SCDEC Bylaws or the Florida Democratic Party (FDP) Bylaws:
- Precinct Captains are Eligible to run for Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian.
- Chair and Vice Chair must not identify as the same gender per FDP Rules.
- There must be 4 State Committeemembers who identify as men and 4 who identify as women.
- At least one State Committeemember who identifys as a man and one who identifies as a woman, and must be a Precinct Captain.
- There must be at least one State Committeeperson from each of the 4 State House Districts.
- One Precinct Captain who identifies as a man and one who identifies as a woman will serve as the liason(s) to The Florida Democratic Party and serve on The Board of the Seminole County Democratic Executive Committee.

58-60 Precinct Captains who filed with the Seminole SOE before June Deadline + Automatic Members
Automatic Members Include Elected Democrats in Seminole County, including non-partisan seats. Democrats who are currently running and will be sworn in after December 5 will thus be ineligible). Chartered Democratic Club and Caucus Presidents.
