I am so proud that President Biden signed a bipartisan infrastructure bill this week, making good on his promise to bring Democrats and Republicans together to secure critical investments in our country’s infrastructure. But EVERY SINGLE Florida Republican voted against it. Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and EVERY Republican Florida House member voted against our clean water, high speed internet, and safe roads.
This is shameful and self-serving. This negative vote on infrastructure shows us that the Florida Republicans are NOT interested in protecting us from climate change or helping local businesses stay competitive. Do you need a better reason to VOTE THEM OUT?
Let’s make it our priority to remove Rubio in November and then we’ll work our way down the ballot. Remember that Republicans were given a chance to put us on the right track but failed us, yet again.
Seminole County and ALL of our Central Florida neighbors will benefit from the infrastructure bill in so many ways: making travel safer, cutting commute times, and saving us ALL money. As we move closer to 2022, remember that it’s the Democrats who prioritized our community and deserve your vote, your support, and your donations.
