Election-themed coloring pages are now available for SemDems volunteers to engage children and their parents, grandparents, teachers, and other caregivers in the upcoming 2024 election. The four pages (see below) are nonpartisan so can be used in most situations. These images and others are available at the SemDems office. Feel free to make as many copies as needed.
With markers and/or crayons in hand, here are some ways to use coloring pages:
Table Events: Set up a kid’s activity area or hand out pages as a fun ice-breaker
Classrooms: Use as part of an election unit
Libraries: Pair with books about voting and elections
After-school Groups: Discuss the basics of voting such as the age to register
Boys and Girls Clubs: Have kids raise hands to “vote” on favorite pizza toppings, etc.
Farmers Markets: Offer pages to parents with children
Neighborhood Dem Clubs: Introduce coloring pages to fellow members
A Few More Tips:
Print on regular or recycled paper that’s crayon-friendly (e.g. not overly smooth.)
Kids draw a self-portrait on the Future Voter/Candidate pages, then add their name plus other info.
The Vote-by-Mail page has contact info for Seminole County voters only. The “Your Vote is Your Voice” page has contact info that is valid for all Florida voters. Hopefully kids will encourage their parents, older siblings, and other relatives to vote in 2024!
Happy coloring!
