The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies has not issued guidelines for the 2021 Presidential Inaugural Ceremony. While we don’t know if there will be a public gathering or issuance of inaugural tickets in 2021, U.S. Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy’s Team is collecting requests and will keep you updated as we know more.
If you live in Florida Congressional District 7 (all of Seminole County and part of Orange County), you can use THIS REQUEST FORM to request tickets to the event from our Congresswoman.
The President and Vice President of the United States will be sworn into office during a ceremony on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. This inauguration ceremony will be held on the west front of the U.S. Capitol and managed by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC).
The JCCIC will provide Members of Congress a limited set of viewing area tickets to distribute, most of which are for a standing area at or near the east end of the National Mall. If you would like to request tickets to the presidential inauguration, please see below for information and instructions:
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-
- The JCCIC will not inform Members of Congress how many viewing area tickets will be provided to each office until a few weeks after the presidential election on November 3, 2020. The Office of Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy will not fulfill requests for inauguration tickets until the JCCIC has made its announcements.
- In the past, the presidential inauguration has attracted large crowds, long lines, and heavy traffic around DC and the Capitol area. Standing areas for the ceremony have typically been very crowded even though they are ticketed. Please also note that January in Washington, DC can be very cold, and all viewing areas will be outdoors and standing areas only.
- The JCCIC does not release the tickets to Members of Congress until about a week before the inauguration ceremony. For those who are granted tickets, arrangements must be made to have your tickets picked up before 3:00pm on January 19, 2021.
- Incomplete forms or ticket requests from persons living outside of Florida’s 7th Congressional District, will not be considered.
